Terms of Service
Version 1, effective 25 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Enchantd, including this website and its waitlist. Enchantd is provided by Pär Nilsson, a sole trader, Bangårdsgatan 19, 411 12 Göteborg, Sweden ("Enchantd", "we"). You can reach us at hello@enchantd.app in English or Swedish. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
1. Who can use Enchantd
- Enchantd is for adults. You must be 18 or older to join the waitlist, play or buy anything.
- Enchantd is for your own personal, non-commercial use.
2. The characters are fictional AI
- Every character in Enchantd is fictional, and their words are written by artificial intelligence as you play. You are never talking with a real person.
- Stories are fiction. What a character says can be wrong, inconsistent or unexpected, and it is never professional, medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
- Enchantd is entertainment, not a substitute for real relationships or professional help. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line where you live.
3. The waitlist and launch offer
- When you join the waitlist, we email you when Enchantd opens and about new adventures. You can unsubscribe from every email.
- Everyone on the waitlist when Enchantd opens gets a code for 30% off their first credit purchase, valid during launch week. One code per email address; it cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with other offers.
- Opening dates are our plan, not a promise. If we change the date, we tell the waitlist.
4. Playing
- You can start your first adventure without an account. Until you create one, your progress is linked to the browser you play in, so create an account to keep it if you change device or clear your browser.
- Each adventure is written as you play: your answers shape where the story goes, so your story is your own.
- We limit how much you can play for free, and we may change the free allowance.
5. Credits and payment
- Credits unlock more adventures and other paid features. What each costs in credits, and the price of each credit pack, is shown before you buy. Prices include VAT.
- Stripe handles payment. We never see or store your full card details.
- Credits are not money, cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred, and are refunded only as these terms or the law require. If an error on our side means you do not get what you spent credits on, we return them.
- If we close Enchantd, we refund the price of credits you bought and have not used.
6. Your right to withdraw
As a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Credits are digital content that we deliver as soon as you pay, so at checkout we ask you to agree to immediate delivery and to confirm that you then lose the right to withdraw. We send you a confirmation of the purchase and of that agreement by email.
7. Your stories
- What you write in Enchantd is yours, and you may use your stories for your own personal purposes, including sharing them.
- You give us permission to store and process what you write and the replies written for you, only as needed to run Enchantd, keep it safe and give you support. This includes sending them to the AI providers that write the replies.
- We do not use your stories to train AI models, and we do not let our AI providers do so.
- The characters, adventures, art and design of Enchantd belong to us. A story you share may include them, but you may not use our characters or art in other products or for commercial purposes.
8. Rules for playing
Enchantd tells romantic stories, and it keeps them closed-door: it does not write explicit sexual content. Do not use Enchantd to:
- write anything involving minors, or characters presented as minors, in a romantic or sexual context
- write about real people, or impersonate anyone
- try to get around our safety checks or the characters' limits, for example with jailbreak prompts
- break the law, threaten or harass anyone, or share other people's personal data
- access Enchantd by automated means, scrape it, or resell or share access to it
9. Safety checks and moderation
- Every message and reply is checked automatically by AI for safety and for our content rules. A reply that breaks them is rewritten or not shown.
- People at Enchantd read a story only when it is reported, when the automated checks flag serious misuse, when you ask us for support, or when the law requires it.
- If you break these terms, we may stop a story, limit features or suspend your access, in proportion to the problem. We tell you what we did and why unless the law prevents it, and you can contest a decision by replying to us.
- Anyone can report illegal content or misuse to hello@enchantd.app. Tell us what it is and where it is.
10. Availability and changes
- Enchantd is new and under active development. We work to keep it available and safe but cannot promise it is always available or free of errors.
- We may change characters, adventures and features. If a change takes away something you paid for, we return the credits or refund you.
11. Ending your use
- You can stop using Enchantd and ask us to delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we must to protect others or comply with the law. Where reasonable, we warn you first. If we end your access for reasons other than your breach, we refund unused credits you bought.
12. Liability
- We are responsible for providing Enchantd as these terms describe. We are not liable for indirect loss, or for loss we could not reasonably foresee.
- Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law, or our liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when Enchantd changes. We tell you about important changes by email or in Enchantd at least 30 days before they apply, and each version gets a new number and date. If you do not accept a change, you can stop using Enchantd and we refund unused credits you bought.
14. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies, and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live. If we cannot solve a problem together, consumers in Sweden can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), and you can always go to court where you live.
